We did (2) weddings back to back at the Grecian Center. We were lucky enough to celebrate with Jimmy and Janel for their big day. This wedding was a referral, which we always appreciate. If you can’t tell in the photo above, then I am here to tell you that they are a really fun group of people! Jimmy specially requested a song that a friend of his wrote. It is called Orangitango by Fly Golden Eagle, pretty awesome song. Besides everyone in the bridal party going crazy to that song, they also loved the N’sync Bye Bye Bye. Wedding DJs in Southgate

I love it when we have couple like this! Sarah and Jim were very laid back, and we had a blast at their reception. It was a smaller wedding that was held at the Grecian Center in Downriver. We had a name monogram aimed on the floor in the main entrance. Guests would notice their name in wispy fonts as they entered the reception room. Besides taking a lot of awesome shots for their glam cam photo album, we even got some video. I would have to say that the best part of the night was when the Sarah surprised Jim by singing him an Aretha Franklin song. Wedding DJs in Wyandotte

We provided the entertainment and lighting design for David and Kim’s wedding reception in Wyandotte. It was a very large wedding (300+ guests). The client actually planned a destination wedding prior to the reception, so actually this was a post reception. It might sound weird, but we really do a couple of these every year. Really there’s no wrong way to plan a wedding, only your way.

Things started out a little slow, but eventually we ended up with a packed dance floor. The lighting looked awesome in their photos, and changed colors with the music. The client decided to only go with 10 fixtures dues to the layout of the hall. Good times with great people. Amy & Jason had their reception at the Discovery Center in Indian Springs Metro Park. The hall has beautiful vaulted ceilings with natural wood look. Before dinner, we always check to make sure the champagne is poured for the toasts… one problem, the catering company was not allowed to pour the drinks for the guests! I was upset by this and had my other DJ help me pour glasses for every table as efficiently as possible before the toasts started. You can imagine how unhappy the bride and groom would have been if the drinks weren’t poured in advance. This in one of the reasons we work hard to make sure your other vendors do a great job for you : )

Wedding DJs in White Lake

I would have to say that my favorite part of the night, was taking photos and videos of their packed dance floor. You can checkout all the shots in their glam cam photo album. I even got video of live mixing during the wedding in a video clip below. I love it when the guests go, “UGH UGH”… I get them every time! Thanks again for inviting us to your wedding!

Honestly, I have been looking forward to this wedding since last year. Dan and Krystal celebrated their wedding reception @ Embassy Suites Hotel in Livonia Michigan. Dan wanted to light his entire room, we met with him @ the facility to give them an exact quote on the lighting. Since they had their ceremony in the atrium we provided the music with our Going to the Chapel package. It was such a gorgeous day, I wish they would of had their wedding outside.

When it comes to weddings, there is one thing that you can always predict… that they are unpredictable. There was a problem when we arrived @ 3:30 to setup the lighting+reception+ceremony, the room was being occupied?! We could not setup! I was told by the facility 1 month before their wedding that we could enter the room @ 4pm. It takes us roughly 2 hours to setup lighting+reception+ceremony. It turned out the meeting in the room (that we should have been setting up in) was not leaving until 5pm! We had to work our butts off to get everything up in time. It was super stressful, but hey that’s why you hire us. We do all the stressing for you! Just click the before and after videos below to see how we transformed their room.

The food at Embassy Suites Hotel was alright. I would have given it a 10, but the noodles tasted like plastic. They were not done properly. The chef had this cool Mongolian BBQ style area, nice touch.

Wedding DJs in Livonia

The colors they selected were Pretty as a Princess Pink and Artesian Water Blue. The walls changed colors with the music throughout the evening. For example we play Lady in Red the whole hall is red; we play Usher Yea the whole place is green just like the music video. Since a majority of the crowd was older, we played a huge variety of music. At one point it was polkas, and towards the end it was house music. The bride and groom are huge techno fans, so we had to the play some dance music. A couple of our sets included:

What was really cool, was how we ending the night. I asked for everyone to circle Dan and Krystal for a nice send off as we played the last song for the evening. Rochester Hills Wedding DJs

We provided the entertainment for John and Caitlin’s wedding reception @ La Sala Banquet Center in Rochester Hills Michigan. This was a larger wedding with about 300 guests in attendance. The facility has tons of technology integrated and is one of the first smart facilities in the mid west. Their walls actually change colors to match with your theme. Which means that you do not have to go with our accent lighting : (

The best form of business is word of mouth from past happy clients. This wedding was a referral from Amy and Jeremys wedding last year. It was great seeing a bunch of familiar faces, Joe and Jessica were also there. It kinda felt like a giant reunion, we even ran into the same photographer. This was a Greek style wedding reception, so watch their video below for highlights from the evening! This party is one of my personal top 5 (checkout the photos to see guests crowd surfing). Something that I thought was really cool was that John had a surprise honeymoon planned for Caitlin and she had no idea where they were going. I just hope that it is someplace warm! Hartland Wedding DJs

This was a very intimate wedding reception! What I mean by intimate, is small.  Something that I have noticed, is that it is always the smaller weddings that turn out the best. There really is no need to break the ice. Ravi and Nicole held their wedding and ceremony @ River Birch Lodge in Hartland Michigan. This place is fairly new, but has enough personality to pull off stellar weddings!

Besides the facility, the couple did a great job tying the whole evening together. For dinner there was choice of soups made by chefs from out of state. Every detailed matched the theme for their wedding; from the wood burning fireplaces to the crystal candy for the cocoa.

Our couple went with a custom name monogram which looked great displayed in the center of the room. We played a variety of music throughout the night, and Glam Cam shots shows how the wedding progressed. What was really cool, was I got to meet Jon Carroll who sings the song, “Afternoon Delight” (from Anchor Man).

Overall, this has to be one of my top 3 weddings EVER! Personally I have always liked the Garden Park in Holly, but River Birch Lodge is giving me considerations for where I might want my wedding held!

Mackinac Island Wedding DJs

What better place than to have a wedding reception in Mackinac Island Michigan. Commonly misspelled as Mackinaw Island, this place offers brides to be, something that money can not buy, and that is a view to remember. Michael and Stacey had their reception @ Mission Point Resort (which I will never recommend). This was a Fall Wedding Reception, so the leaves were changing colors between the vibrant yellows, oranges, and reds (gorgeous)! Just imagine all the opportunities your photographer will have capturing your dream wedding in Mackinac Island.

We made sure that we had every song Michael and Stacey wanted for their wedding reception. They mostly requested 80s songs which were really cool, because guests were mostly in the 30 – 40 year range. For their wedding reception, they had 50 guests in attendance. I personally feel that it is the smaller weddings that always turn out the best. Not only are they more intimate, but there is really no need to break the ice, because everybody knows each other.

When it really boils down to it, Mackinac Island is a cool place to have a wedding reception in Michigan. However vendors beware, because Mission Point Resort and Lilac House Bed and Breakfast left a veryyy bitter taste in my mouth.

Shelby TWP Wedding DJs

Our second week in a row doing a wedding reception @ Club Monte Carlo in Shelby Twp Michigan. Joe and Jessica were referred to us from Amy and Jeremy, so I already knew what to expect from the guests. At one point a guest was skipping around the dance floor with a table linen. I swore he was the weddings color gaurd. They REALLY enjoyed themselves, go ahead and visit their Glam Cam Photo Album for proof. I also got a video clip of the dance floor packed with the Jessica and Joe in the middle.

Dewitt Wedding DJ

We celebrated last weekend with Anthony and Lisa Kilmartin for their wedding reception @ the Banquet and Conference Center of Dewitt. Since their ceremony was at the same place, we provided them with our Going to the Chapel Package. With the package, you get wireless technology so that everyone can hear you exchange your vows, music playback, and ceremony song selection.

One really weird thing, was that the fire alarm went off half way through the reception. However, after everything was under control things progressed normally.
